The Most Affordable Places To Live, By Robert Jain

By Jason McDonald

Are you looking to move out and into a new place? If so, you might have considered the idea of moving to a new city or state altogether, which isn't terribly uncommon. After all, there are some places that are more affordable to live in than others, without sacrificing much in the way of quality of life. As a matter of fact, here are a few of the most affordable places to live, as detailed by Robert Jain and other authorities on finance.

Indiana - Starting off this list is Indiana, which is one of the most renown farmlands in the United States. Along with being the 17th most populated state, it's also known for is various landmarks. The Huddleston Farmhouse Inn Museum in Cambridge City, for example, is one of the most historic and tends to be where many tourists go if they have the opportunity to do so. Indiana stands as one of the most affordable places to live, according to the likes of Bob Jain.

Alabama - Next, let's look at Alabama, as it's another cheap place to live in the United States. Did you know that this state is known for its various types of food? Are you a fan of barbecue and ethnic cuisine, just to name a few? Chances are that you feel right at home in this location. You may feel inclined to down this food down with some sweet tea, which is another specialty of Alabama. As far as living is concerned, this state is on the affordable end.

Nebraska - For those that are curious about other affordable places to live, Nebraska is worth considering as well. While it's worth noting how this place can save potential residents money, it has far more to offer than that. Much like Alabama, Nebraska has its own unique cuisine, with the sandwich-like runza being one of the more popular options. If you plan on moving somewhere, take the time to research this state as well.

Mississippi - When it comes to cheap places to live, Mississippi is regarded as number one by many. Anyone that has ever lived in this area may tell you the same, but there's more to this state than affordability. The array of foods that this state specializes in - catfish, crawfish, and pecan pie, just to name a few - is nothing short of impressive. The fact that well-known figures like Elvis Presley and Jim Henson come from this state adds to his history, too. For those that are looking for places to live, it goes without saying that Mississippi is worth nothing as well.
