There are many things you have to worry about when you attend college. There are book fees, lab supplies, getting into your desired classes, and of course paying for it all. But you have to also have a place to live, which means that you may need to find out how to rent Apartments Near Ohio University so that you have a roof over your head to sleep and study.

Ohio University is located in Athens, Ohio, which is pretty much the definition of a college town. The university houses over 36,000 students, including part time commuters and residential students who live on campus in dorms. It was originally chartered in 1787 and has a long and rich history along with more than one campus as the school has grown.

If you are a freshman and are living outside of your parents house for the first time ever, the convenience and community of a dorm seems like a good idea. They can be loud though and very expensive, so you may want to try and move out as soon as you can. If you need just a roof over your head, there are actually quite a few apartments you can find that have no furniture or amenities, but just the bare bones for your needs to stay on a budget.

Furniture is a big deal for college students who are not from the local region. If you are coming from across the country, the cost and hassle of hauling furniture back and forth each year can be quite daunting. Instead, look for a furnished unit that still has just the basics to cut down on the cost of rent. These include a bed and sofa, and usually some kind of table or desk. Kitchenware and towels are still your responsibility, but the rest is already supplied.

Some people want a more high end experience, and if this is you, look no further than the many luxury apartment buildings in the area. These range from one to three bedrooms, and have all the amenities you could possibly want, such as a gym on site, or laundry machines in the dwelling.

You may also have a clubhouse, which is large room where you can throw parties or other types of gatherings by reserving it in advance. You might have wifi or cable tv included, or you can get them installed at a discount in some places. There may even be a public, social place to gather with and meet other tenants.

Cash is sometimes in short supply with college students, so living alone may not be ideal. If you have one or more roommates, you can split costs to save some cash each month and make life easier. Look for a two, three, or even four bedroom apartment to help keep your overall cost of living down quite a bit.

Thankfully, many places are within walking distance of the school, so you can save even more money by not having to own a car. If you get a place further away, you can instead use public transportation. There are also many restaurants that are open late, book stores, and coffee houses nearby that are perfect for the student life.
